Furthermore, this update addresses an issue where tuning values could persist after removing race parts.
Here are the Force Feedback Wheels improvements that have been added to Forza Horizon 3 via this latest update.
- The new Force Feedback Understeer slider allows players to control the FFB torque resistance when tire peak grip is exceeded and it starts to slide. The player can either increase or decrease this effect by moving the slider; the default profile value for this is equal to what it is currently already in game.
- The new Force Feedback Minimum Force slider allows players to control the FFB torque resistance when the tire peak grip has not yet been reached. Players can control the FFB resistance and make it tighter or looser near the steering wheel’s center point. The default profile value for this is equal to what is currently in game.

Forza Horizon 3's CPU performance patch is now live
Forza Horizon 3's CPU performance patch is now live, allowing the game to utilise more threads and additional DirectX 12 performance benefits.
This update will allow PC players to more easily maintain framerates of 60FPS or over by making more efficient use of CPU resources as well as add several new graphical options to allow lower-end PC to offer additional performance. Now Forza Horizon 3 features a Very Low graphical preset, which can be used with the game's dynamic optimisation options.
CPU-wise the game has been given a new threading affinity model to make better use of PC with higher thread counts, though this new threading model can be disabled in the game's graphical options menu using the 'Threaded Optimization' option.
All graphical options within Forza Horizons have also been updated to give a detailed breakdown on each setting's effect on CPU and GPU performance as well as VRAM use.
With this new update, Forza Horizon 3 will offer reduced PC system requirements which can be viewed below.

One other problem is that we used an i7 6700K based system when we did that performance review, now we use a different CPU. That will mean that comparisons with our old results will be useless.Quote
If you clock them the same it would be valid. The same architecture after all. I wouldn't expect more than a 2% difference. Which realistically is negligible.
Or to see the threading improvement, test the i7 you have, limit it to 4 threads, then enable all of them. That would be a good CPU testQuote

It is under consideration, I will sleep on it and decide tomorrow morning.Quote
Forza Horizon 3 Update Problems
I have gained a lot of performance from the update, I have a 6700k and 1080ti and went from 55-60fps in the city to 100-125 fps. The stuttering issues seams to have gone as well. Running at 2560 x 1440 with everything on ultra and 2 x MSAA, everywhere other that the main city is 144 fps.Quote
